Controlled substances manufacturing
A new option for our customers
In early 2005, Archimica’s Springfield, Missouri, USA site began the manufacture of API materials that are considered controlled substances by the United State Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) with a schedule II central nervous drug. This option is now available to all of Archimica’s customers.
The development, production and storage of controlled substances are allowed only after rigorous internal control systems are in place to limit access to the premises and to minimize the risk of any such material being unaccounted for or lost. Springfield’s new capability comes after investments in special manufacturing equipment to isolate production, as well as filtration, drying, filling, drumming and weighing. In addition, the site has instituted security systems to comply with the requirements of the DEA for controlled substances and has received R&D, pilot and manufacturing permits by the DEA. |
