Delivering value beyond making the molecule

Archimica is involved in a series of initiatives designed to extend the range of our ability to provide value beyond the manufacture of molecules.

One of our newest capabilities is the use of microfluidization technology to create high performance excipients and APIs that can produce unique characteristics in drug delivery schemes. Archimica’s technology features cellulose and other excipients that are turned into high performance materials using microfluidization and ultrafiltration. The resultant materials are ultrafine, homogeneous, highly controlled dispersions that offer tailor-made performance and maintain highest possible quality, including the strictest microbiological control. This activity is carried out at our FDA-inspected facility in Isso, Italy under cGMP conditions.

In all of our preformulation activities, these capabilities can be integrated with API production to achieve synergies in the final stages of manufacture. In addition, these capabilities can operate as a separate outsourced step for companies that do not have the in-house facilities or which require additional capacity.
